I am in the process of setting up MS Excange - have has serval aboorted attempts but now almost cracked it (with the help of Henrick Walther's excellent blogs) Mailbox, and hub transport roles are installed there is however a problem when installing the client access role.  I get the following error message:  Server   "MACHINENAME1.mydomain.mydomain.local"  already has an OAB Virtual Directory "MACHINENAME1\OAB (default Web Site)"  exisitng in Active Directory, but not in IIS.  Please use the Remove-OABVirtualDirectory command to remove the object from Active Directory.  Then recreate the virtual directory using the New-OABVirtualDirectoryCommand.

So I am dutifully going to the MS Exchange Management Shell and entering the remove-OABVirtualDirectory which the returns a prompt asking me to enter a value for the 'identity' parameter - what should I be putting in here?

Just to complete the picture the Active Directory schema master is on the same doamin and subnet and there are no communication issues accross the network

Any help whould be appreciated aas I am frustratingly close to getting this installed and can't really find much info on this on the net.

do get-oabvirtualdirectory to see what's there, then to make it easy to remove, just do get-oabvirtualdirectory | remove-oabvirtualdirectoy
that's a 'pipe' symbol.
