Hi,
I am having the stangest problem with OMA.
This is a server running SBS 2003 with all the latest patches.
All users working perfectly bar one.
If I delete the account and recreate it it will work fine for a while but then goes again with the below error.

Event Type:      Error
Event Source:      MSExchangeOMA
Event Category:      (1000)
Event ID:      1805
Date:            14/11/2007
Time:            15:14:29
User:            N/A
Computer:      xxx
Description:
Request from user xxx@xxx.local resulted in the Microsoft(R) Exchange back-end server xxx returning an HTTP error with status code 403

Response:
Connection: close
Date: Wed, 14 Nov 2007 15:14:29 GMT
Server: Microsoft-IIS/6.0
MicrosoftOfficeWebServer: 5.0_Pub
X-Powered-By: ASP.NET
Content-Type: text/html
Content-Length: 141
MS-WebStorage: 6.5.7638

Original Request:
Content-Type: text/xml
Depth: 0
Content-Length: 389
Expect: 100-continue
Connection: Keep-Alive
Host: trans01
.For more information, see Help and Support Center at http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/events.asp.

What I suspect is happening is the Windows Mobile device is synching backup to an old exchange profile and causing the problem.
What could also be causing problems is this user has 2 devices connecting to his OMA and has a shared calander and contacts that are shared out among 5 people internaly.

Anybody seen anything like this before??

> Lets proceed with davex.dll presence:
> In case missing add it using the following steps:

1. View the properties of the exchange-oma virtual directory.
2. On the Virtual Directory tab, click the Configuration button.
3. On the Mappings tab, click the Insert button and specified
C:\Progra~1\exchsrvr\bin\davex.dll.
4. Click OK.
5. Specify the ExchangeApplicationPool for exchange-oma.
6. Clicked OK all the way out.
7. Stop and started the Default Web Site.

> Now check the eventvwr, are you still getting the event reported
> In case no try sync, if it fails with HTTP 500, write bakc to me ;)

Cheers!

Hi,
Due to a previous problem I have had to route the OMA to a exchDav so it is not going to the exchange-oma reason below
http://sbs.seandaniel.com/2006/02/sync-errors-from-mobile-devices-in.html

That aside the configuration button is grayed out. On both Exchange-oma and ExcDav.

Thaks for the help.

Joe
