Our Estimating department is in dire need of an older version of Design Review. These were free downloads from Autodesks website but the latest version, 2008, is having some serious issues on our systems. I tried to contact Autodesk and they told me they don't have the older downloads, yeah right.

So please if anyone out there has a copy of the Design Review 2007 can I please have it. This was a free download so there is no license violation.

Thanks.

Thanks for the post but that is the Trial version which will expire in 30 days. If I try to buy it it directs me to the 2008 download.

Thanks for the quick response though.

well I found that link on:

http://lastdownloads.net/3560.html

and after download I realize that is some kind of trial version with crack, so please forget this answer, if you think that this is license violation of any kind.

Regards.

This Autodesk link says they removed the dwf viewer from the 2008 version but they are offering this free add-on.  I haven't used it - so read the instructions carefully.  See at:

Hello there -

As I understand it, Design Review 2007 (formerly known as DWF Composer 2) was a for-pay product.

When Design Review 2008 came out, Autodesk decided to release it at no charge.

I'm checking with my colleagues at Autodesk to see if I can provide you a copy of ADR 2007.

What's the problem with ADR 2008?  Also version 2009 is coming up around the corner (currently in beta).

Thanks for checking with Autodesk Steve.

We have tried version  2008 and it just hangs when you open a drawing. I've read the knowledge base at Autodesk and I have tried all the recommendations to fix the problem with no luck. We are running Scritplogic and it may be interfering with that. I have had a couple of apps conflict with Scriptlogic and I we need to run SL.

eaglecreek,

What drawings are you trying to view?  DWG, DWF, DXF?  Are you trying to mark up / redline DWF files?

My guess is that if it's an estimating department, you are trying to view/print/measure/redline DWF's.  Have you tried the DWF viewer to see if you can view/print them?   Go to http://usa.autodesk.com/adsk/servlet/index?siteID=123112&id=8677146 and scroll wayyyy to the bottom, and select "English."

If you are looking to view DWG's, have you tried TrueView (http://usa.autodesk.com/adsk/servlet/index?siteID=123112&id=8677146)?

Lastly - what sample drawings have you tried to view - 2D or 3D?  Any sample files?  Can you post one of your drawings so I can see if it hangs for me?

Thanks!
Steve

Hi Eaglecreek,

You asked for a copy of Autodesk Design Review 2007 - which I provided.  Would you mind awarding me the answer so this can be closed out?

Thanks!
