Since I am completely new to Web Services, I need some help.

Actually, I have been reading and reading a lot about Web Services, but since I am in a time crunch, I need a quick reference.

Objective:

The objective of my project is to design a feasible architectural solution to connect to various other web services. The idea is to design a façade where a user can enter his/her credentials and that can connect to various EIS backend web services.

The objective is to pull information relevant to this user from various Data source and create a web service façade.

My goal is to design an architectural solution using Web Service and use IBM WebSphere

I am looking for some good reference material with architecture that can provide solution to this issue.
