Crystal reports on web server getting error

Failed to load database information. Details: The database DLL 'crdb_dao.dll' could not be loaded.

On the development computer I was able to create an asp.net web page and add a crystal report and everything worked.  Finally setup a computer as a web server running IIS and when anyone even the development computer goes to the web page and tries to preview the page that is holding the report they get Failed to load database information. Details: The database DLL 'crdb_dao.dll' could not be loaded.

I have done some searching but have come up blank.  I found a site for windows 98 (we are all on XP) and gave it a shot but it did not work.

Yes that dll was installed.  However I am not sure if the person i asked to install it registered the file.  I will check this out tomorrow. Thanks for the idea.

It may also be you need to install the merge modules so the appropriate dlls can be downloaded to the client.

Hi mimmc

We registered the file crdb_dao.dll on the web server and this did allow the report to come up but the business objects tool bar at the top of the screen looks like a graphic that has not loaded. any thoughts on that?

http://bloggingabout.net/blogs/jschreuder/archive/2007/12/10/crystal-reports-for-visual-studio-2005-deployment-trouble.aspx

i copy the asp_web folder to the web folder, then it work, what happened is the js, images, images are all in that folder
