HI,

I have WIC-1ADSL installed in CISCO1841,I need to configure it for internet connection, but I don't have a public IP address,I get the IP address dynamically from the ISP whenever I implement the connection,The ISP connection type is PPOA,Is it possible to do such configuration and if the IOS supports firewall what is the best configuration for it?

cisco 1800 series routers support PPOA connectivity . I feel the defaul ios will be 12.3  . its not required to upgrade the ios.
try the configuration from the link below.
