Create a MSI package to register DLLs and OCXs with the MDAC installation?? HELP !!

Hi Experts,

I have a MDAC.exe (Microsoft Data Access Components) and another DLLs plus OCX files to register on clients in AD environment.

So, I need to create a one MSI package for all, is that possible ?
Please recommend  a software to create the MSI package.

Please help !

NetMaxtor, I dont think you can create a package for MDAC. Mdac by itself is a self contained package and you cannot do a setup capture on this and create an msi. I tried this when I was packaging MDAC 2.7 and 2.8 and it didnt work. Have a look at this article on the command lines for silently running MDAC installs. http://www.appdeploy.com/packages/detail.asp?id=89  . As for registering the dll's and ocx goes, you have opened a new question for it in this forum and I have given you possible answers on how this can done. Cheers.
