Power Mac G4 Quick Silver (digital audio model M7627-M7688-M7945-M7681) Power wont stay on.

The above Mac Model Number which is one.  All use the same design and parts I am told.  Just audio is different.

I push the button and the fan only runs for a second and the light on the front case goes out and the small light on the motherboard goes out.  It wont stay running.\

I replaced the battery, replaced the memory and just went down to one memory stick in each slots.  Pulled the battery and reset the pmu button and left machine off with battery out for a day.  inserted the battery again and left it in for half hour before starting and pluging in the machine.  The same thing exist.

any suggestions

thanks

The best case scenario is that your PS has died. The bad side is that a new PS for a DA  is worth more then an entire
bare bones DA on Ebay.  I guess you gotta look at how much you have invested in upgrades for your Da. I have one with a raid card, multiple big pata drives,  a dual 1.4 upgrade,  a  flashed 6800 gt, and a fire wire PCI card. If mine was doing that I would probably just buy a guaranteed no doa bare bones case. but you can check it for yourself. There is a MB for 24 bucks right now on ebay plus several power supplies plus a bunch of bare bones Digital Audios. If you know how to test your power supply yourself then maybe just a PS, otherwise a bare bones will give you other spare parts( plus a board if that is really what is wrong.)
