WSUS 3.0 - out of the box / connectcomputer on SBS 2003 R2, the client PCs get their updates from WSUS. How do I change that?

out of the box after running connectcomputer, the client PCs get their updates from the SBS 2003 R2 / WSUS 3.0 server, right?  How would I change that so the client PCs go out to the microsoft / windows update servers like a stand alone PC would?

and this brings up several questions -when I set up a new XP sp2 machine, I manually run windows update, install microsoft updates and then run through express updates several times.

if a stand alone machine wasn't updated like this, but was set to automatically update, would it (eventually?) get to the same point?

Except for microsoft update and the resulting office updates?  Microsoft updates has to be run manually?

And with WSUS - all updates in xp and office 2003 / 2007 are ok to install, right?  So a properly configured wsus machine get the client PC to the fully updated condition?

thanks!

Mickey - is there docs about configuring WSUS?  And if you are using WSUS, you don't have to do ANYTHING with windows update on the desktop?! (install microsoft update, etc?

Try this out.

You don't have to touch one client to install the updates. It can install just about any updates and services packs. Without touch any clients. It is one of the best pieces they have developed.
