Bugzilla email sending problem

I am facing this error when i am reporting bugs in bugzilla and sending mails .i have downloaded the smtp server and cinfigure it.
I think request is not getting to the server.

undef error - Unknown error at C:/Perl/site/lib/Mail/Mailer.pm line 284

how it can be solved .i need to send mail.

I would suggest looking at line 284 of the Mailer.pm file to see what is it supposed to do. You can add
"warn" statements to the code to print out what is going on.
