the IDE is pretty much the same. it is the languages and the debugger that have been mostly improved

so its a same IDE but minor changes .... which is towards the better way ... now how about using the EXPRESS EDITION .. is there a difference ? i have been using the 2005 express edition and i do not have the full version of 2008 ... ?

I never used the express edition so I can't say. But usually, it is not the IDE itself that distinguishes the Express edition from the full version.
