Repeat Group Header on each page not working

As the title would suggest, I have enabled Repeat Group Header on each page for one of my Group Headers, via the Group Expert Menu. However, it is not repeating the header on each page and I cannot see why. I only have New Page After Selected on the corresponding Group footer. Any common reasons why it might not be working? I'm using CR version 9.

What isn't repeating?

The option only applies to that group header.  You question implies you have several groups defined on you rreport.

Many thanks for your answer. Group Header 2 - I have the option selected on that group only but it's not having any effect.

Further information - When I select the option on GH1, GH1 does repeat fine. It sill doesn't work for GH2 though.

UNless there is more to the group or another group you won't see the group header.

There is data in the detail section and I have tried putting more data in the group footer, but it still doesn't appear. I get the feeling I'm missing something realy simple here!

Fixed it! It seems that if the group footer starts on the first page, the group header doesn't appear, even if the group footer spills over to another page. However, if the group footer starts on the next page, the group header does appear. To get round this, i added in a blank group below the group header that I wanted to appear. I then moved the information that needs to appear into this group footer, which meant the group footerfor the header I want to appear on the next page started after the end of the information. This meant that if the report spilled over to 2 pages, the header appeared, as the group footer starts right at the bottom. Having worked it out, I can now appreciate the points you made above so I'll obviously give you the full points. Is the method I'm now using however the most efficient way of achieving this result? Many thanks for all your help.
