Many times I leave my computer on, but turn off my monitor. When I flip my monitor back on and a Window is open, for example Internet Explorer, the Window (maximized) starts expanding outward (including taskbar) beyond the size of the screen and then the monitor shuts down and the led light starts blinking orange.

However, when I turn on my monitor and quickly minimize all my screens to only the Desktop, the screen does not start expanding and does not shut down. I usually wait a little while on Desktop and my Windows no longer start expanding as much, causing my monitor not to shut down.

Do I need to find a new display driver? Any suggestions?
