I have a Windows 2000 running our web server using IIS ..
I am wondering how can I add a URL that is pointing to a Local Folder on another local server ?
for example, if you hit our web site  all the links you seeing are pointing to web sites wtih Public IP addresses (internet IP address)  that you can reach through our web site, the question now, what if I have a URL pointing to a folder on a local server (URL to local IP address)
how can I reach this URL while I am on thernet surving my web site?

I'm not sure if your talking about redirecting your site to a local server or allowing folder access to a local server via a website.

-If your referring to a redirection.
This depends on weather or not your two servers are on the same subnet, if so use this MS KB article
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/313074

If the servers are on different subnets or behind a Firewall, you then have to build a route from one server to another. By opening port and/or building a route from the outside server.

If you want file/folder type access just use ftp://yourIP/DOMAIN/folder_name as your link, and set it up for anonymous  access.

Actually it is the first point, ie., redirecting to another local server on the same subnet.
I will read the MS KB and let you know .. THANKS
