I am running a microsoft server IIS 6.0 and use dreamweaver as the development tool.  I wanted to know if there is any advantage to purchasing the cold fusion server software since I can already do my database development using Dreamweaver using ODBC.

Not really if you have ASP installed. Asp is as powerful or more then cold fusion.
