Dynamic URL in sitemap for Menu Control

I want to create a menu control that uses a sitemap.

However, certain  menu items will have a query string with a value dependent upon the logged in user's preferences in order to go to a specific page.

How do I dynamically include the value in the query string, either within the site map, or in a control that uses a site map? or how?

thanks!

Hi,

you can modify the item's URL (and other values) in the Menu_ItemDataBound event, which occurs right after the values of the item have been set to the ones from the datasource (in your case, the SitemapDataSource).
