Menu control submenu arrow

When I create an asp.net menu control, the main menu has a black right arrow if there is a sub menu.

How do I change that?

and how do I remove that?

Change:
  <asp:menu id="NavigationMenu"   StaticPopOutImageUrl="~/newimage.gif"  runat="server">

Remove:
  <asp:menu id="NavigationMenu"  StaticEnableDefaultPopOutImage="false"   runat="server">
