shivas, that is for remote files i believe. im looking so that application users can load files locally into the flex from their computer without having to upload them.

Im creating a photo editing application however I do not want my users to upload the images I'd rather them be able to load them locally. &nbsp;I know that Adobe Air can do it, but I can not find a solution for Flex or Flash. &nbsp;Please contribute any solutions that you may have.
