Im running Apache 2.26 and tomcat 6x on windows XP. &nbsp;My isp is Bellsouth and service is Fastaccess DSL Xtrem. &nbsp;If bellsouth blocks port 80 for web server, or ftp and mail server ports is there a trick to get around this?

Im running Apache 2.26 and tomcat 6x on windows XP.  My isp is Bellsouth and service is Fastaccess DSL Xtrem.  If bellsouth blocks port 80 for web server, or ftp and mail server ports is there a trick to get around this?

Does Bellsouth ISP allow home servers? Does Bellsouth block port 80 and other ports for ftp, mail servers?

The primary function of a web server is to store, process and deliver web pages to clients. The communication between client and server takes place using the Hypertext Transfer Protocol (HTTP). The most common use of web servers is to host websites, but there are other uses such as gaming, data storage, running enterprise applications, handling email, FTP, etc.
