I have recently upgraded 5 machines from windows xp home to windows xp pro. (used upgrade cd and have valid key for all the machines)<br />

That worked great but im unable to run windows update on any of the machines.<br />
It does not come up with any of the known error message. It just says failed to install. With no error code.<br />
There is diffrent hardware on all of the machines.<br />

IE did not work either on the machines. It only allowed one window open at once.<br />
But after i upgraded (downloaded from MS from the server) It started working.<br />
