Crystal Reports not opening report when clicking on File open

When installing a fresh copy of crystal reports i click on file and open and no open box appears, also when i click on the open button no open box appears this leads to me having to find the file first then open it with crystal reports any ideas why this would happen

maybe the open dialog box is outside your screen.

try resizing your screen after clicking the open dialog box.

I'm having the same issue when I install a fresh copy of Crystal reports 9.0. Applying the service pack
did not fix. Re-sizing the screen did not fix either.

DId you uninstall it first or is this on a new machine?

New install on two different PCs. One of two un-installed then re-installed. Same behavior on four
other PCs.

This sounds like a problem you should be asking to Business Objects.

You may have something on your machines that is interfering with Crystal.

We have now resolved this issue, please see below:

Run the following command
regsvr32 "c:\program files\common files\crystal decisions\2.0\bin\filedialog.dll
