Clickable worl map similar to the one available under Google Analytics / Urchin

I would like to implemented on my website a clickable world map where for each country I can provide a counter of some sort (for example, number of registered users for this country).
I have found something similar used by google analytics / urchin whereby on the dashboard you are shown the number of it per country.
I would like to be able to click on each country and to be linked to another page of my choice where it is pretty likely I would like to show something specific to this country.
I'm using php on the back end server, then solution of this nature are preferred but open to other suggestion......

I know the methodology, I just would like to know if a similar open source or free project (even using flash) is available for my website.
I can't found one myself.
If somebody is using something similar, it could be really usefull.
I googled "flash world map" and 1st result:

http://www.backspace.com/mapapp/

3rd Result:

You should check out http://www.google.com if you've never used it.

I would like the full solution, not just the map.
I know I to use Google, thank you very much.
I asked here because I could not find anything......
If you look at this page, you will find your solution:

The second map has clickable points that take you to custom URLs, controlled by an XML file, which you can generate with PHP. You can place that clickable point inside each country and use the "tooltip" feature to display number of registered users for that country.

Am I incorrect in thinking this is exactly what you're looking for?
