Cognos8 error message

I have recently started using cognos8 and have some complexed reports scheduled to run at the begining of each month. the problem we are having is each month the schedules are failing due to the credentuals expiring, the error message is
CAM-AAA-0194 Authentication to the namespace 'ADS' failed. The provided credentials are invalid. Logon failure: unknown user name or bad password.
This is happening every month regardless of whether or not the users who own the schedules have changed there details or not.
I understand how to refresh the credentual in cognos but is there anyway of stopping them from expiring and having to refresh them so frequenly?
