We seem to have a problem with a superexpress 56i modem.

Basically when we receive a fax the modem become locked to all other programs that use the modem - IE natwest bankline.

The only way we can get the modem back is to reboot the computer

In hyper terminal I am not getting a OK return from the modem.

Please help..

What happens if you enter AT&F in hyperterm?

Are you 100% sure that the program that is used to receive the fax is ending and giving up control of the modem?
