Turn Off WiFi radio

Hi,

I need to switch the WiFi radio off on WM50 device. I searched on this site for the solution and found how to query various OIDs and potentially turn off WiFI with OID_802_11_DISASSOCIATE.

I have tried those solutions, but got only enumeration part to work, i.e. I can successfully obtain  the device name. But that's all :)

I then tried to use SetDevicePower with the same negative result.

I use iPaq rx1900. I'll appreciate any sample of how to switch the radio off.

I believe this can be HP problem. You can contact HP, or visit this link http://www.hp.com/developers/ipaq. You can pay for membership and download HP Utility SDK. This is SDK for controlling iPAQ features such as the backlight, WLAN power, audio, etc. It supports a "flat" DLL API compatible with native C/C++ programs. Also you can download C# version.

I also has problems with using HP device. It was iPAQ rw6815. This model does not support normally capturing images using Direct Show, only HP iPAQ camera SDK works.

Hi wizrr,

thanks for the pointing out, I've overlooked DevicePowerNorify() call :)

My iPaq has ipaqUtil.dll, but all works even without using it.
