I do test if Word is installed whit this:

Dim Xa As Object
Xa = CreateObject("Word.Application")
Xa = Nothing

And use error handle to check if it's there, this takes quite long time and effects to loading time to my program.

Is there faster way to test if macine has Word installed?

My app supports Word versions from 97 to 2007
I'm using VB.NET 2005
