Make a share available on both nodes in Windows cluster

Hi all

We have a windows 2003 cluster with 2 nodes.
The thing is i need to share a folder from our storage to the nodes.
Is it possible to create this in de cluster so if i swith to node 2 the share will be available there too and maybe make it dependent ?
I do not need to create a share on the nodes, what i want is to map a drive letter to a share on different storage that i need on my nodes.

Thanks,

Robin

No, that's not possible, sorry.
A share resource (and the disk it's shared on) has to be locally available to both nodes, that is, it has to reside on the shared storage.

Doesn't help anything, either.
What is this "different storage", and what exactly are you trying to accomplish?

Well if you map a network share on node1 that this share is also mapped on node2 when you are switching

And what is this "different storage" that you want to share?

Its not comming from the same storage as my LUN which is available on de server.
But this has actually nothing to do with it.

It is just a share i would like to mount with user A and also i want this share on node2 when i switch.

Sorry, not possible under these circumstances. The folder to be shared has to be available locally on both nodes on the shared storage.
