I have a client who uses POP3 for their email accounts on (3) different laptops with Outlook 2007.
We have noticed that when they try to use their laptops outside of the office that sometimes the email sends out and sometimes it does not.
I have tried to telnet to the outgoing smtp server on port 25 from 4 different internet connections and 2 connected and 2 do not connect.
Is this a DNS issue with the mail sever?
Please try for yourself, can you connect to telnet mailhost.equipfix.com 25 ?
Not sure how to proceed, the outgoing mailserver is not mine, it is in another state and I am not the admin.
