Help my cursor is going crazy in Wndows.  It just jumps through the letters and any options to type or click with the mouse? Constantly it will not stop!  It appears to be a VIRUS or Internet Worm problem.  Has anyone ever seen this before in Windows XP?  I have SYMANTEC AV with the latest VIRUS DEFS Installed.  As well as Widnows Defender Installed.

try to boot in safe mode
and from there run a anti-virusscan.
check out the msconfig for applications that automatically start.

When this all doesn't work you can always restore to a safe point (system restore) before the date that this problem started.

Problem was being caused by dead batteries in a MICROSOFT WIRELESS mouse.  Replaced batteries and now everything is back to normal.
