Content Management System Needed

I am putting up some quick portal sites which I could more easily do with a CMS.  I know that Mambo was very popular, but I don't like the fact that I need to keep that name on the site.  Are there any other good solutions (either open source or paid)?

I am using personally HotBanana CMS which the coldFusion based application. It is a pretty good released for CMS
