Can't install Microsoft Office 2003 SP3 update

Running Office 2003 on XP SP2.
Every day Windows Update prompts me to download and install Office 2003 Service Pack 3 (SP3) and Update for Outlook Junk Email Filter 2003 (KB943552). The process always ends with "The following updates were not installed: (both updates listed)".
If I go to my update history, it lists error code: 0x80070643, but doesn't say what that means or what can be done about it.
Can anyone help me out?

Thanks. I had seen that page, and bailed at step 5 because it was so time consuming. At your prompting, I gave it another look.

Step 7, Detect and Repair, did fail, indicating a corrupt install. I uninstalled & reinstalled from the CD, then immediately applied the downloadable SP3 patch. Not as painful as I thought it might be - it even retained my Outlook folders & accounts. Everything seems to be working now. I appreciate your help!
