Hi,
i need to configure a ftp folder in IIS
    inside the folder output
                                 \ xx1\~1.tmp
                                 \xx2\~2.tmp
                                \xx3\~2.tmp

i want the users not to browse to \xx2 or \xx3  when i only provide them with a url like
  http://ftp.test.com/xx1/~1.tmp.  is it possible?

how to do it in IIS FTP folder? if u got 500 of such folders, it isn't very logical to remove each of them manually. What if I don't set the permission of these folders? can users see the content inside them?

when you are dealing with that amount of users, it is always, always a good practice to put your into security groups so you can control the security easily. If you have a bunch of users bundle into a security group, using ACL, you can control on what they can and can't see on these folders that's including inside.

Configuring network clients can be a chore, especially if there are a large number of them or a lot of itinerant users.  DHCP dynamically manages this process, much to the relief of users and administrators alike!
