can someone please explain this question and give me the answer:

A receiver has a noise factor of 10db and it is proposed to improve its sensitivity by adding a preamplifier of 3db noise factor and a 10db power gain. To what extent will the receiver performance improve if the effective noise temperature of the receiver aerial is:
(1) 290k
(2)58K

There is no reason to add a preamplifier to a receiving system if the preamp picks up just as much noise from the antenna as the receiver.
To do this problem you have to know what is a “noise factor” and what is meant by “effective noise temperature”.
