Resize image to print on 8x11 paper

I'm using PS 6.x and have an image that is W-1536px X H-1024px. How do I print the image on an 8 X 11 sheet of paper?

How large do you want the image? Do you want it to just fill the 8.5x11 paper ? or just print at the size it is on a piece of letter sized paper?

File>Page Setup> Paper Size-Letter ( To change the paper size)

Then go to File>Print ( The rest depends on your printer driver. You may want to tell it to scale to page.

I tried your suggestion but when I go to print, I get an error message that states "some clipping of the image will occur" because the image is larger than the paper size.

I want the image to print on an piece of letter sized paper without clipping.

Did you try selecting fit to page ?
File>Print with Preview

Then check Scale to fit Media

Then select print.

We are talking about Photoshop here...right? I don't have File>Print with Preview.

I will look for Scale to fit media.

Do you want it to print to the edge or the inside of the paper with a white border?

Doesn't matter to me. I want Photoshop to resize the image so it will fit on the 8x11.5 page.

What kind of printer do you have?
Go File>Printer setup
Change it to landscape, then click ok.

Click print and see if you still get the message

Printer is a HP Color 3800.
