Merge replication 2005

I tried to update one record from publisher and it's taking 1min for the changes to get updated on the subscriber .

Any reason why ?
How do i resolve the problem
Am on SQL 2005 Merge replication

Do you think  -ParallelUploadDownload would help .if yes how do i set that  in sql2005

how do i set  -ParallelUploadDownload for merge replication on sql 2005 to allow agent  to process the changes uploaded to the Publisher and those downloaded to the Subscriber at the same time

Thanks for the link but that does not seems to solve my problem.
I have set ParallelUploadDownload to 1 but that does not seem to work.
my problem is when i  tried to update one record from publisher and it's taking 1min for the changes to get updated on the subscriber .
The table is got 300000 rows and its indexed.and the row guid on the table is indexed as well.\\Any way to retrieve faster than a minute please explain the method to attain  this

... is the mirroring take a minute, or is the mirror job only running once a minute ? It should be running continuously.

... what about the network latency. I tested mirroring in my testlab and a certain scenario run in a few seconds. When I set it up with my colleague across the Pacific, it ran for almost 45 minutes ... all due to the network.

One record should be done in a blink of a eye. If the two machine are standing 'next to each other' and the job runs continuously ...

Please help it is set to run continuosly on the same network and when I do an update of a record  with a where clause it takes a miutes to synch through to the subsriber from the publisher.The table is indexed .Please  help what can I do to improve it.am running on SQL 2005 merge replication

Run the Replication Monitor and see if you can track down the problem area.

What sort of info do you need in Repl monitor , there is no confilit , one update was done on one table ,download was done then sync but it takes 1 min before showing on subscriber

Keep refreshing it during the minute it takes to sync and see if there is any activity. The stats should make it clear whether the replication is waiting for a minute to start syncing, or the syncing is just taking a minute.

it has to be something with the network ... let your network guys help you check out the network traffic when doing a sync. Maybe someone can run WireShark for you ... don;t try it yourself it's a network sniffer, that kind of software can get you into big problems with the network guys !
