H323 trunk from Call Manager Express to Call Manager

Hi All,

I have configured a h323 trunk between CME and CCM and calls are routing ok. The only problem I have is that when I try transfering calls or setting call forwarding from the CME to an extension the the CCM, I receive a busy tone. I have tried enabling and disabling h450.2, h450.3, and h450.12 but without any luck.

Has anyone successfuly set this up?

Thats not good. You shouldn't need a hardware MTP as far as I know.

Here's an SRND that describes why you need an MTP, but looking around if you can't make any call transfers etc. I don't think this is your problem: http://cisco.com/en/US/docs/voice_ip_comm/cucme/srnd/design/guide/intcmecm.html#wp1072339

I'm pretty sure this will be because you havent specified that you need an MTP (media termination point) for the trunk. there should be a tick box under the trunk config. This is specifically required for CCM to CME trunks.

Hi,

Yeah I did enable MTP but the CCM phone call forward, hold, and transfer softkeys stop responing. I checked the media resource group and the internal CCM MTP server has been configured? Do I need to configure MTP on a cisco router?
