IIS error HTTP 401.2

I need a urgent help

1) My server is running linux and want to connect to windows server which are using IIS. So i just do a simple telnet test to port 80. and i recieve HTTP Error 401.2. i dont have windows experiece on solve this issue. thanks

thanks...but logically which side is causing the issue? my linux which dont understand the method to communicate with windows or the windows setting is incorrect?

at least if anyone have encounter this issue before...and i need to know what did you do the server...any additional setting?

HTTP methods (for the most part) are standards.  In IIS, what authentication do you have turned on on the site in question?   I would turn off all authentication and see if you can pull any content then go from there.
