Hi
I have tow csvs parent and account. Both the csvs contains list of Accounts. The difference is that the parent.csv contains the list of all Accounts which will act as a parent account to others. Now for the question

The account.csv file contains two fields account name and parent name. THe parent name filed will be containing the values that are present in parent.csv.
How can I make sure that the tool will look up the GUID of the parent and insert it into the parent account field

There is a great answer for this question, the answer is, it wont :-)
The ONLY way to use the built-in tool to map parent and child relationships is as follows:
1. Import all of your accounts marked as parent accounts
2. Go into SQL on the backend of the MSCRM database, into the AccountBase table and get all the GUID's for the accounts you just imported.
3. Map all of  your child accounts in the csv file to contain the guid where the old account-id used to be (I use vlookup for this in excel to map them accordingly)
4. Once you have a csv file with the proper parent account guid for each child, import the children with the "parent account" field set as the guid.

That's it.
For a good best practice here, when importing your original accounts, import the old AccountNumber (whatever it was before, not a guid) into a hidden field on the account entity so you can go back and check your work. This also makes things a LOT easier when creating the GUID mappings in Excel.
Good luck!
