Hi,
I've just started learning Actionscript with flash.
But been making a mess of it pulling things together etc.
There might be a simple tutorial somewhere for what I am trying to do.

I want to load some external images.  I had the images in an array.
Then I want the first one to load straight away.
Then after a period of time maybe 5 or 10 seconds fade the 2nd image in.
Hopefully the 2nd image is preloaded so it wont be waiting on it loading.

I want it to continue loading the images which are in the arry and when the last one is loaded, load the first one again and continue looping through the images.

here is ready sample which should match your requirements:

it also loads external images using an XML file and also using fade-in fade out animation to swap images
