Default Contact folder
How can I change the default outlook contact folder which is used and I automatically add new contacts? I want to switch it temporarly to a public folder instead of the one of my inbox. Much thanks.

Didn't work....it goes into the default Contacts folder even though I created a new one as a sub-folder of the default....
Strange. It's work very well for me. What the name of your new contacts folder?
Try the next steps:
create a new contacs folder anywhere and call him New Contacts. Right click on the folder->Properties->Outloo k Address Book-> Check the "Show this folder as..." checkbox.
After that click CTRL+Shift+B and enter the "Tools"-"Options" settings. Change the value in the "Keep personal addresses in" drop-down list to "New Contacts". Save changes. Reopen the Outlook.

OK - I see the problem. I am NOT using the drop down New Contacts. From an existing email I choose add to contacts and I want that address to go in the newly created contacts folder.
