I have exhausted everything i know, i cant figure this out.

MOBO: Asus striker extreme

Prob: the infamous CPU init no post/boot prob

Info: fans spin and everything, lights working mobo seems fine.

Some things ive tried:

diff PSU

different ram, diff slots, tried low-end ram one stick furthest from mobo

reset the cmos

reseated the processor; would of tried a different processor but i do not have one

took mobo out of case to see if it was sitting on a chassi wrong or anything, plugged it all in out of case no dice

and prob few more things i cant think right now

Also: When i first got it, it was doing the cpu init thing.. i put in diff ram, got it to post i went to BIOS and changed the ram frequency to match my ram someone said that might help .. put my ram back in it worked. I had the computer running great, got vista installed pc was running great, until i got a BSOD so i decided to uupgrade bios to the latest version , so i did through the asus update thingy, ran it, comp restarted to where it should like start the flash thing, monitor went black, pc never booted again went back to CPU INIT crap. PLZ help i am so fresh out of ideas.

i think you need to reflash the bios - asus has an easy flash feature, accessed by ALT+ F2 (i think) check the manual. i suggest to flash from cd, or usb , not floppy.
