For one of the projects I suggested Display Tag ( <a href="http://displaytag.sourceforge.net/11/" rel="ugc">http://displaytag.sourceforge.net/11/</a>&nbsp;)for generating the table based on the java bean. Please share you personal experiences and feed back or any know issues with Display Tag. The other option which client showed interest in were Jasper Reports and Crystal Reports. Please let me know what do you feel about my option of Display Tag above the others. I am very open in this discussion, feel free to let me know even &nbsp;if I am completely wrong. <br />

The other thing which influenced my selection is that I has to show around some 200 reports, Using Display Tag a single JSP is enough to show all the 200 reports based on the different Bean objects passed where as in case of Jasper reports I need to have different templates and need to load them accordingly. Also I need to embed hyper link for few fields of the report.<br />

Display Tag

Java is a platform-independent, object-oriented programming language and run-time environment, designed to have as few implementation dependencies as possible such that developers can write one set of code across all platforms using libraries. Most devices will not run Java natively, and require a run-time component to be installed in order to execute a Java program.
