dell xps 400- i need to know how to install 3 hard drives. i have 3 WESTERN DIGITAL WD740GD RAPTOR 74GB 10K RPM 8MB SATA that i want to install to make raid 3 setup. i now have 2 cd  burners and 1 floppy and 1 card reader. there are noe no empty bays.  i can remove 1 of the cd burners and the card reader. but,, do i need  special brackets to mount the hard drives? if  i do, where do i get them? i'm also going to use hard drive coolers   http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?Sku=V13-3250
i'm thinking about adding a case fan   http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/searchtools/item-detailsInactive.asp?Sku=ULT30245
it has a Thermo-Control and i don't know where to connect it on my motherboard, does anyone know how? do you think that adding the case fan is an overkill? thanks,
Dave

You can use an external raid card such as in the link beow:

Put the drives into external closure as well.

Any reason that you want raid 3? You should setup raid 5 with 3 drives, or raid 1 with 2.

Thanks for grade and points, but Raid is not backup solution. If the controller or more than 1 drive failed, you will lost everything. Back up data to external drive or other media, and do that regularly, and that is backup.
