IBM Laptop power supply

Hi, I live in Australia and have just found a competitively priced second hand IBM laptop in the US. Am I correct in assuming that if I get a replacement Australian power supply that it will work just fine here? Are there any other differences between the different region laptops? Would IBM factory warranties be honored worldwide?

As long as the power brick can deliver the right voltage (must match) and at least the current mentioned on the laptop it should  be OK. Assuming the connectors match.... which they almost certainly will, if they're aimed at the same laptop model. Otherwise I don't think laptops are "regionalized" except for KB layout and that shouldn't be much if an issue between e.g. US and AU.
