small business server installation

i have fortigate 100 with verizon DSL.
if i install SBS 2003, can i remove router?

i have some domain, and and is used by yahoo business email service.

is it easy to maintain pop connection exchange server?

i have 40 employees and little worried if my slow DSL internet traffic can handle the connection from inside and outside of office.

Well where I installed the server I didn't find ... but usually the unhappy customers have a bad engineer behind.
1 If you buy SBS premium you can use it as firewall (the ISA server component). But if you buy std ed don't remove your firewall. Anyway with ISA you can use proxy/cache server to reduce the trafic.
2  With integrated DNS you can manage all your 3 zones.
3 The PoP3 connector is a transitory solution, so it is not suposed to be there for ever. You can use this connector until all your users will switch to internal account and OWA. They will love that in time even that for begining will say No NO NO...
4 The SBS don't load your internet connection so if that work without, it will work better with SBS.

thank you.
i have premium edition.
so if i use sbs2003... my biggest concern is if it's easy to manage? and stable?
how do i train myself for it? how do i set up ISA port setting?
manage 3zones mean if i have web server different computer, my sbs DNS server can address it?
"The SBS don't load your internet connection"?
i thought SBS 2003 can work as DHCP too...? is it possible to work without SBS of DHCP and DNS?

are there any sample deployment charts online?
"The SBS don't load your internet connection"? meaning that is no an supplimentary load on your internet connection introduced by SBS server itself.
In the folowing links I hope you will find some good info

In what concern the stability is OK, easy to manage if you are familiar with Windows server.
There are some problems related to many server on one machine, but for a small group like yours is OK
recomandation for install:
1 use the wizards, all are ok and know a little bit more than you.
2 don't put the exchange database on system disk
3 try to use a separate disk for log and cache (for ISA server). This will be hardlly fragmented.
4 search on EE database for a method to limit the amount of memory used by SQL engine that manage the logs, or else that will eat your RAM.
5 use an .local name for your internal domain
6 if you have a large amount of activity for file sharing consider to move that on other server to keep some resource for exchange.
