CISCO 7970G Showing as Unprovisioned, how do I force TFTP to reload firmware

I have a CISCO 7970 Handset that is displaying unprovisioned on the screen.  How do I force the phone to update from the TFTP server?

Are there any Cisco Guru's out there how may be able to help me?

Go to settings then press **# to unlock the configuration then you can do a factory reset.

Is this connecting to a cisco call manager? Are you using DHCP? If so is Option 150 configured with the correct address for your tftp server?

Yep, one step ahead of you on that one, I reboot it with the # key pressed (before speaker light comes on) and it continues to boot as normal, no flashing line light as per the instructions.

I have done it in the past with the same type of phone via those instructions and it worked like a dream, but not with this little bugger.

And Cisco won't support it, even though I have a maintaince contract because it has SIP on it and they don't support SIP.  

They just won't let go of the fact that callmanager may have had its day.
