I cant get a straight answer to this question even from Symantec Sales!

I have a HP Proliant running Small Business Server 2003 R2 Premium (SQL component is not installed) and a DLT-S4 tape drive.  I want to install and use Backup Exec on this server.

I also have 2 other HP Proliant servers in this domain, both running Windows 2003 standard edition.  One is a terminal server and the other is running Pervasive SQL 8.1.

What version of Backup Exec 11d do I need to buy to install on the SBS and what other agents do I need for the other 2 servers?

I know that Backup Exec doesnt have an agent for Pervasive SQL but we will work round this by stopping the pervasive engines prior to backup and restarting afterwards.

Thanks

You will need Backup Exec 11d for SBS.  The SBS version allows you to backup Exchange. The Premium Edition allows the backup of SQL (I'm not sure if it works for the Pervasive engine but it probably does).  Backup Exec 11d also comes with the Remote Agent for backup of remote servers.  Here's a link for more info on the product.
