Outlook forwarding rule do not work

It seems that any forwarding rules is not working. We are using Outlook 2007 clients on a Exchange 2007 Std x64.

Actually I just need some mails with certain words in the subject forwarded to a specific email address. I don't mind if this is done client or server sided. (Actually would even prefer server side).

I have read that Exchange 2003 servers need to enable external forwarding first. Does the same apply to 2007? And where would I find that setting?

It is the same procedure as Exchange 2003, although in a slightly different place.
See this Technet article: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa996309.aspx
When you are reading the article you do not need to create a new remote domain, there will already be one in place which you can set.

Note that automatic forwarding and automatic replies can cause problems with email delivery - specifically email looping and should be avoided if possible. The setting is global, so if you enable it all users will be able to use those types of rules.
