Hello Tech guys,

Need your help with this issue. We have a windows server 2003 std  and terminal server setup on it. users use chip pc( thin client) to connect to terminal server. I have also a group policy object called RESTRICTION linked to these user, this object basically restrics these user from seeing the clock, control panel, my computers and recycle bin and etc just to give them intenet access only. Now the issue is, this policy is applied to some and not applied to some. This leaves some hole in the security.

Please advice.
Regards

As long as you are setting up user policies and all users are part of the correct groups, then it should work. Pick one of the users the policy seems to work for, and one who it doesn't. What are the differences? Run the group policy management console and run the group policy modeling wizard (or some such name) and see what policies are being applied to what users. That will show what otehr policies may be affecting certain users.
