Ever since we installed this software our system got noticiably slower especially opening client desktop applications and email attachment. Is there a setting we missed to speed up performance? Thanks.

Most likely the performance reduction is due to Trend Micro doing on access scans. Every file you open is being scanned with the antivirus and spyware software. You can change your policies within trend micro not to do E-mail attachment scans and on access scans this should boost your performance back to normal. Do you have any other software protecting your clients from attachments that may be viruses? If not i would leave the e-mail scans on.
